Equity One Buys Shoppes of Sunset
Kendall Strip Center Sells to Retail REIT for $5 Million
Equity One, the Florida-based shopping center REIT, has acquired the Shoppes of Sunset, a 21,704-square-foot strip center in Miami from BPG-Sunset Inc. The deal was finalized this week for $5 million, or about $230 per square foot.
The center is at 9743 SW 72nd St. in South Florida's Kendall submarket. It was constructed in 1979.
David J. Donnellan, William R. Strauss and Todd Weintraub of CB Richard Ellis handled the deal for BPG-Sunset Inc. BPG acquired the property in 1998 for $1.8 million, according to CoStar information.
